Aired last 2010, Moyashimon live-action series is lead by Yuichi Nakamura (Kamen Rider Den-O) as Sawaki Tadayasu, a first-year college student at an agricultural university, who has the unique ability to see and communicate with micro-organisms and bacteria.

Also known as Tales of Agriculture, Moyashimon tells about the story of Sawaki Tadayasu, a high school student who has an ability to see micro-organisms. These micro-organisms are depicted in super-deformed anime style, which are kinda similar on how they really looked like. Sawaki decided to enter the College of Agriculture under the guidance of Professor Itsuki Keizo.

The Jdrama series Hachi-one Diver or 81Diver (ハチワンダイバー) aired from May 3, 2008 starring Junpei Mizobata and Riisa Naka. The title refers to the main character's shogi nickname, which comes from the words of his former teacher who once told him to dive into the 9 by 9 (81) squares of the shogi board.

Hachi-One Diver Synopsis:
Kentarō failed at entering the professional league of shogi board game competition. However, he continues to play the game for a living by gambling at amateur shogi clubs. His encounter and defeat by the shogi player known as Akihabara's "Ukeshi" shocks him and, combined with his financial crisis, reinvigorates him to take shogi more seriously. He also finds out by chance that the Ukeshi offers a part time maid cosplay house cleaning service, another side of her which further intrigues him.

One of the coolest fansubber around, Skewed Studios Fansubs and Scanlations, just turned a year older now! As a celebration for their 4th Anniversary, the fansub group releases Video Girl Ai live action movie.

So what's Video Girl Ai? Actually, it's one of the manga series from Katsura Masakazu whose mangas were one of the first scanlations that was available during the very early age of scanlations (back in dial up and you probably can read more about scanlation history here at InsideScanlation).

Video Girl Ai is about Moteuchi Youta. He just recently became very sad after he found out the girl he likes is in love with his best friend. Going home broken hearted, he suddenly noticed a new video rental store named Gokuraku (Paradise in English). It is said that only people with pure heart can see that video rental store. In there he rented a VHS idol video of Amano Ai. As he went home and watched the VHS he rented, to his surprise, the girl in the video came to life - but because his VHS player just recently got mental, there are some things that he didn't expected with the personality of Ai.

Well, it's only been several months, but we finally have the second of two PV releases for the 2010 Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo live-action movie. ikimono-gakari is back with its great understated, slightly melancholy musical style, this time providing the theme song for the movie, Nostalgia.

This time around, instead of giving us clips from the film, we get a completely self-contained story. But (spoilers!!) time travel still seems to be involved. Or is it? It's open to interpretation. Or is it? Actually, time travel is most definitely involved. Or is it? (Remember the first rule of comedy, folks: the rule of three)

Anywho, it's a nicely-made little video and stars the always-adorable Naka Riisa. We hope you enjoy the karaoke (and the marginally-done onscreen typesettting...)! If you don't, you're welcome to rue us in silence!

Congrats to our very own UkiyaSeed for making an awesome Splash for this SkewedS release. Keep up the good work bro!

For those readers who have seen the 2006 Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo anime film, the above picture should be familiar (just makes you want to scream, "ike!!!!" doesn't it?).

If you're a loyal SkewedS follower, you'll have noticed our recent release of the trailer for the upcoming 2010 live-action TokiKake movie. If you're looking forward to this movie as much as I am, you should allow our little PV release today to whet your appetite!

For those of you who don't care about the upcoming movie (which I honestly hope is NONE of you), we hope the JPop fan in you will at least enjoy this great little ikimono-gakari song. Fittingly, it's titled "Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo," and it serves as the insert song for the upcoming live-action. As zeldAIS kindly pointed out to me (because I tend not to know these things XD), this song is a remake of a song from the 1983 film. Oh, the nostalgia! (NOSTALGIA. Hint, hint).

The PV features clips from the movie, and we've added some karaoke for all of you to sing along to. And I really do encourage you to sing along! LOUD! That's what the karaoke is there for!

Side note: for those of you unfamiliar with the band ikimono-gakari (as I was before working on this PV), apparently the band name "refers to to a child who is responsible for looking after plants and animals in a Japanese elementary school." Sorta fits perfectly for the sweet, innocent feel of the song, doesn't it?

A short teaser clip of next year's incarnation of Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. Might as well release and post it while we just recently released the 2002 version not so long ago during our 3rd Year Annniversary. We will most likely do it so look forward to it! (as long as R2 DVD doesn't have english subs already and the movie isn't licensed relatively quick outside Japan with english subs) /me so excited of this version *o*

PS: It's neat that the main lead was the same actress ^_^ (Read story here).

Skewed Studios Fansubs just released Oneechanbara Vortex, the second live-action adaptation of the Oneechanbara video games series.

The genre and story remains the same, hack and slash zombies but this time, this sequel movie did not use the characters from the first movie. The main character Aya is played by Tejima Yuu along with Kawamura Rika, Arakawa Chika, Ozawa Akari, and Imura Kumi. Though this movie is the sequel, the scoop has no juncture from the first one apart from being propped from the aforementioned series. One could say this movie has an unrelated title.

Translation - zeldAIS
Editing - Draiken_Talkos
Typesetting, Splash - GekiDan
Karaoke SFX - jonty

We hope you enjoy this release, and remember to grab the first movie on DVD, you'll enjoy it as well.
